What You’ll Need:

Globe (any size)
Vintage valentines (paper, not cardstock)
Modge Podge
Brush

What You’ll Do:

Gather your valentines and determine how you’d like to fit them on your globe. You’ll be layering, so make sure you figure out which ones you’d like to feature on the top layer.

Take your first layer of valentines, and, one by one, lay them flat on the globe surface. Then, carefully cover the whole valentine with Modge Podge on your brush. Make sure you cover the edges thoroughly.

Get your next layer and adhere your valentines using the same method, making sure you aren’t covering any parts of the valentines you’d like to have visible.

Continue layering until you have covered the whole globe and are happy with how it looks.

Let it dry, then set out for all to admire!

“I love using vintage valentines from the 1950s and 1960s because of their vibrant colors, playful images and catchy, sentimental messages. They often featured cartoon-like illustrations of animals, children, and anthropomorphized objects like hearts or flowers, accompanied by clever puns and rhyming captions. Many of my valentines were given in classrooms as part of Valentine’s Day exchanges, making them a nostalgic reminder of childhood!
