DIY Paper Lunch Bag Snowflakes

DIY brown paper bag snowflakes create organic Christmas decor

This inexpensive and fun DIY lunch bag paper snowflake is an easy project you can do with the family. They make great Christmas décor and you can even leave them up for the rest of the winter.

What You’ll Need:

Lunch bags (7 per snowflake)
Hot glue gun and glue
Scissors
Glitter spray paint (optional)
Hole punch
Twine or clear thread

What You’ll Do:

Stack seven lunch bags, all facing the same direction with the flap side down.

Hot glue the bags together. With the flap side down, create a capital L shape with the hot glue; then place the next lunch bag on top. Andi recommends breaking up the bags into a stack of three and a stack of four, which will make it easier to cut.

Cut out the same snowflake design in both stacks. The options here are endless. Keep in mind that the open end of the bags will be the outside of the snowflake, and the bottom of the bags will be the center. Don’t make cuts over the hot glued area, as it can fall apart.

Once your design is cut, use the hot glue gun to attach the two stacks together.

Fan out the snowflake into a circle to complete the design, and hot glue the circle closed.

If you want to add color, use silver or gold glitter spray paint.

To hang the snowflake, use a hole punch to create an opening. Attach twine or a clear thread, and then hang wherever you want.

“I’ve always loved a more vintage feeling, and our Christmas décor definitely matches the age of the home.”
