Enchanted Mushroom Centerpiece

According to European culture, mushrooms symbolize transformation, new beginnings, wealth and fertility. As such,
they are the perfect element to incorporate into your table decor during the holiday season. You can create an
enchanted mushroom centerpiece with a little bit of time and some basic supplies.

Supplies You’ll Need:

Here are the items you will need to create your table centerpiece.

• What you’ll do
• Foam mushrooms
• Bamboo skewers
• Scissors to trim bamboo skewers
• Small wooden boxes
• Floral foam
• Knife to cut floral foam
• Moss

What you’ll do

1. Trim the floral foam so it fits snugly inside the small wooden boxes. Other containers you could use include; old
cheese boxes, small drawers, old cigar boxes, garden pots, or small baskets.

2. Using your scissors, trim the bamboo skewers to approximately 2.5 to 3 inches in length.

3. Insert the pointed end of the bamboo skewer into the bottom of the mushroom stem and the other end into the
floral foam.

4. Repeat this process for the remaining mushrooms.

5. Add moss on top of the floral foam and around the base of the mushrooms.

6. Place the boxes with mushrooms down the center of your table.

7. If desired, intersperse votive candles and natural elements to complete the enchanted effect.
