Use Sunflowers
Sunflowers may be a summer staple, but they’ll work well in your fall decor too. Yvonne of Stone Gable uses sunflowers alongside white miniature pumpkins for a cheerful fall effect.
Cozy Fireplaces
If you have a faux fireplace in your home, fill the middle with a cozy fall atmosphere by adding a chalkboard and drawing a fire in its place, like homeowner Holly Thompson did here. A vintage tobacco basket and festive fall banner add to the scene.
Face Books Backward
This is a simple trick you can do to make your bookshelves look rustic and ready for fall. Rachel of Maison de Pax did this in a small bookshelf next to her fireplace, and the result looks perfectly ready for a rustic autumn.
Pumpkin Place Settings
In your dining room, as you set your table for fall hosting, add a miniature pumpkin to each place setting, like homeowner Susan Taggart did here. The white pumpkins even complement her color palette!
Add a Sign
Sign art is a perfect element to change out in your seasonal decor, like blogger Janelle Trinette did here. You can find all sorts of cute sign art for every room in your home here !
Harvest Foods
Add literal fresh style to your fall home with harvest foods such as pumpkins, gourds, apples and pears. Homeowner Brendt Blanks created a cozy corner by collecting fall foods in a basket on a side table.
Hang a Fall Wreath
Hang a wreath like this one on your front door to welcome guests (and yourself) into your home. If you have an attached garage, add a wreath to your garage door so you get the benefit of the beautiful decor too!
Velvet Pumpkins
Fresh pumpkins are beautiful during the fall, but you can get more variation in color if you use velvet pumpkins. Blogger Julie Briones made her own, and has the DIY tutorial to go with it, if you want to emanate the look.
Faux Branches
Add natural touches to your fall decor with branches like these. These are even faux branches, which you can store away and bring out each year instead of trying to find them outside.
Add Pumpkins Everywhere!
Big small, skinny and plump, pumpkins are the go-to fall decorating item. Lucy of Craftberry Bush even added pumpkins under a cloche on her coffee table, and the result is a charming vignette you can easily replicate!
