I’m so excited to share my latest DIY project on the homestead . Making a Custom Color Chalkboard wall color.

Supplies you will need are :

-Flat wall paint in the color of your choice

-Plaster of Paris -Bucket/Container formixing

-Stir Stick

-Tablespoon for measuring

-Foam roller/Paint tray

-*Optional – Painters tape and/ or Drop ClothPaint brush

Wipe down your wall surface with a wet rag. In your bucket, for every 1 cup of paint, add 2 tablespoons of Plaster of Paris. Stir together well. Adding a tiny amount of water if needed to have it smooth. Now you are ready to make your chalkboard wall. Paint thin coats, allowing plenty of dry time in between coats. I recommend doing at least 3 coats of paint. Wait at least 48 hours, season your new chalkboard and Enjoy! What color would your chalkboard wall be? Mine is Cavern Moss by Pittsburgh Paints.

Thank you for your time and for allowing me to be a part of this amazing opportunity! It would be an absolute dream to share my talents more often with American Farmhouse Style and my Instagram family.

(I also created a voiceover reel of this process. I would be happy to share it with you!)
