DIY DOUGH BOWL

DOUGH BOWLS IN DECOR

Farmhouse decor is centered around a warm and inviting aesthetic that brings the charm of rural life into homes. One iconic element that has taken center stage in farmhouse design is the humble dough bowl. Once a hardworking kitchen essential, dough bowls have now found new life as centerpieces, coffee table displays and decorative elements.

The deep wood tones, rustic textures and large size make dough bowls the ideal decor centerpiece except for one major problem...incorporating taper candles into the styling! The uneven, angled bottoms make it difficult to add free-standing candlesticks without risking a wobbly burning candle falling straight into your centerpiece! Not exactly the  Thanksgiving  memory  anyone  wants.  Until  now,  placing  candlesticks awkwardly off to the side or behind the dough bowl was the only option.

Determined to come up with a solution to this decor dilemma, I devised an easy, inexpensive way to add the beauty of glowing taper candles into dough bowl centerpieces, and I’m sharing it with you today! Let’s get started.
